Hey guys. Been playing this game for a year and I love this game and rolling for servants, especially ones line Xuanzang and Jeanne Alter. However, I can't afford to go in for multiple grabs on 5 star servants as it would leave me bankrupt. For other users who go in on a banner who want to resist the temptation of whaling, I wanted to ask this question. Do many other users stop rolling when they lock in one version of the character or do many other people continue to roll after getting their servant once to increase their NP level? I just wanted to ask because I was curious about some thoughts on this and possible future arcs like Camelot and fighting bosses with high health or buff-fest in the future.
I stop rolling after getting 1 copy because even getting 1 is incredibly hard and lucky. Trying to get a 2nd copy requires a lot of luck or whaling and I just don't have the quartz to fund it. I personally believe the jump from NP 1 to NP 2 isn't that significant for most servants and I'm better off having 2 SSRs with great composition synergy than one super-powered SSR.
It already takes me a few hundred quartz to summon one five star servant so spending a few hundred more just for an NP level increase doesn't really seem worth it to me. I think it's better just to spend that extra quartz on another five star.
Getting one copy of the 5 star servant is enough for me. Your luck have to be at Ex rank to get another copy.
The vast majority of people stop at NP1 you get very rapidly diminishing returns past that as someone with a good number of 5*s at NP2 and 3 I can say pretty confidently it doesn't make a huge difference 99% of the time.
