Welcome to the FGO Community brando!
We may be a little salty at times(okay VERY salty at times) from bad pulls but we are overall an ice community. The best guides are easily on this and the FGO wiki.
https://grandorder.gamepress.gg/guides This guide compendium with teach you the basic aspects, teach you about team comps and other finer points of the game.
Heracles is EASILY the best 4* tutorial in the game that you can summon, as he hits ridiculously hard and has a kit hat basically makes him immortal. He will do just fine in the first few singularities(1-3), His playstyle is just smash everything in sight, but once you get his first ascension, he will smash hard and also be very hard to kill. As you may have noticed you will need 2 heroes to fill a team comp. I would recommend Robin Hood, Ushiwakamaru or Cu Chullain. Cu Chullain is HEAVILY recommended due to his extremely high durability and powerful NP. Contrary to other gacha games(FeH for example) some 3*s in the game are actually VERY GOOD. Some are even better than their 4* counterparts. Hans, Ushi, Robin hood, and cu chullain are very good newcomer/f2p options and are better than 4*'s
You will also need many freinds. Most top tier players are generally happy to take a newcomer or two under their wing, so start spamming those freind requests(Here's mine btw(451,328,827), If you want a level 90 amakusa shirou, then add me!)
I think I covered the basics. The more advanced aspects should be explained by the guide. Dont worry TOO much about the 5*'s although you happened to start at a pretty good time as cu chullain alter(one of the best units in the game) is on rate up and Jeanne d'arc alter(highest base atk in the game) is also due for her rate up in a few days. I would say try to roll for them, but dont be too bummed about it as they will always return.
Have fun!
