I rolled once for the Camelot 2 banner and got my Altera to NP 2 when I wanted a new servant, and the past several days I've been itching to do a ten roll like everyone since my last 10 roll was in Rashomon, I think, but I'm currently in the middle of saving for summer and don't have much in the way of saving so...does Santa Jeanne NP 5 do better damage than Artoria lancer NP1 specially with both not having NP interludes and factoring in their skills at lvl 10?
Honestly just care for the damage don't care about the utility and stuff.
I already did my own calculation, but I'm not sure if it's right...
Just want to convince myself to not to roll for her and don't use up all my saved quartz due to gacha madness
Yes, mathematically it will take a np2 Altria to out damage Santa lily jalter's np5 but outside of NP Altria will do more damage with her cards. Also Altria has better NP gain so will be able to launch her NP a second time sooner than SLJ can.
Long story short because of SLJ you can do without Altria but if you did get her I would use her over SLJ outside of farming purposes due to her ssr stats and good NP gain. From what I hear in JP it's becoming more common to need multiple aoes during boss fights but dont quote me on this.

Romulus is a cheap option until December when SLJ comes out. Wouldn't bother with leveling his skills (unless you find that you like him) but you should be able to NP 5 him
Hector is another option and since he has his NP strengthen, he might out-damage Romulus
