Ishtar or Gilgamesh?

Gilgamesh is considered to be better than Ishtar in most situations. He is also easier to use and does insane damage to servants with his noble phantasm. Ishtar, I believe does more damage to non servants with her noble phantasm, but requires some planning ahead. Gilgamesh is better for challenge quests, but Ishtar is better for farming. They are very similar though so you should just roll for whichever looks more interesting to you. Personally I will be rolling all I have for Ishtar over Gilgamesh because shes a cute girl and Gil is a huge dick.

Ishtar because she's waifu? 😅 I do collect Female Servants with Buster AoE NPs for Friend support and she's the only one I lack so I will be rolling for her. Plus she has a bonus on the upcoming Christmas event.

Gilgamesh because i like him way more. There's no greater reasoning here.

Gameplay-wise, Ishtar has higher card damage while Gilgamesh has his servant slaying and consistency.

I choose isthar because she has invincibility although it just have 80% chance. When break bar intruduce in fgo, you just need some kind of protection for long battle either evade, invicibility or gut

Gilgamesh pros: Servant slaughterhouse, Better crit, cocky a-hole, hardly flinches when hit.
Cons: Lower HP, lower NP charge, cocky a-hole

Ishtar pros: Better NP charge, higher HP, Invincibility, Goddess of sexual love (and war)
Cons: Delayed buff (not such a terrible thing if you can plan)

Verdict: I would roll Ishtar until they genderbend Gil but it depends on your usage and team.

Since you like Ishtar more than Gil, roll for her.
No matter who you choose, both is a monster.

I have Gilgamesh, as long as there are servants, i'll put him on my team and rekt things real hard.
Now my Gil sit at max Bond, i'll just borrow my friends Tesla or Raikou.
With Ishtar arrival soon, i will borrow her from my friend.

Ishtar + Hans 2030 + Leonidas + Helena 2030 + Caesar + Blackbeard seems interesting.
Anniversary Blonde for usual daily, and Battle suit for longer fight.
I can't wait to give her tons of steroid and use this set up later 😁

Bonus :
If you want to figure some of Ishtar gameplay or her playstyle, try borrow your friends Gilgamesh or Tesla and also they're technically similiar in gameplay.

For the memes :
- Gilgamesh is a freaking Gilgamesh.
- Ishtar is female Gilgamesh with black hair.
- Tesla is a Gilgamesh with lightning.

Focus to Ishtar, using your favorite servant to clear the game contents nor the story is more amusing and fun.

mmmh i was interested on this my self since i love both character (but i will roll for ishtar, becouse i lack female servant... no really, deam you luck!)
From what i was able to get, their level of power is pretty much the same. Ishtar gil (and archuria) are pretty much first tier archer, any one whit is own niche in witch he is better then the other two.
Ishtar is very similar to cleopatra. she is an exceptional servant, but her effective damage is unreliable most of the time. you have to plan ahead and have some luck to perform her best damage chain, but her damage chain is even better then gil.
gil on the other side is pretty much good alweys. but is a moster in some scenario.
plus he is easy to use
