How Much is Enough?

I’ve been playing for almost a year now, but I’ve only recently started to invest real time and effort into it, grinding my dailies and trying to clear out Event Shops when they pop up. But one thing I still don’t have a clear grasp on is how much I should be grinding, and how much I should be holding onto in terms of items.

For instance, I have approximately 50 golden Apples right now; I hoard them religiously, like I do healing items in other RPGs. Should I be using them for daily farming? Or should I be saving them to use exclusively during events, like I have been up until now? And how much QP should I be trying to rake in from Doors?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, just so I can get a better feel of how I should be dedicating my time in the game to get the best results.

Ideally, you spend you apples on limited time events, especially lottery ones like Da Vinci and Christmas. Those events tend to have incredible drop rates and are much more AP efficient for grinding/hoarding materials.

For QP, I average around 1,2m per 40 AP quest, add a few in for gold drops and the Mona Lisa CE.

You're essentially playing as you should. You can apple best during lucrative events like lotteries, hunting quests or 1/2 off AP events. Ultimately though, you should also apple when you want to play a bit more. It's fine to spend a couple of apples like that.

As for when to use your materials, well, that depends a bit on what you intend to roll on (and what materials they need) and what your goals are. How much time you spend grinding experience is very much dependent on how many Servants you want to level. Free quests aren't usually that great at grinding silver/gold materials though, so there will be stretches of time where you just grind experience (and play less). That said, with Camelot out, the free quest rates are getting better and better in terms of materials.

QP-wise, well, that depends on if you want to grail something (super expensive) or if you grind out those rank 10 skills especially for higher rarities. If you're patient, you can grind out a ton of QP during lotteries and 1/2 off events.

I see, okay. Thanks, that was really helpful to hear. I was just starting to get a little wary because I had burned through a couple of apples trying to get EXP cards for some of my servants the past couple of days, and when I look at the Servant Planners and see how much QP I’ll need to max out the things I want to max out, I start worrying that my 100 mil will go up in smoke before too long.

But I feel better now, and I think I’ve got a better handle on when and how to farm, thanks to that.
