So I was trying to plan ahead for future banners I want to roll. My team lacks a decent Berserker (as both Tama and Fran I've got have this nasty self stun, and Fran also comes with Burn demerit on her third skill like she's not fragile enough), and I wanted both Hijikata and Golden Boy for a long time.
The problem is, if NA will keep to JP summon schedule, then Hijikata's banner is right before Gil's for CCC Event, and Gil can be an arrogant goldie, but I'm determined to give him my SQ since he's really useful (and he ignored me this Thanksgiving >.<).
I know that Hijikata is tricky to use with his damage growing as his HP lowers, and it's better to keep him barely alive (somehow), and sadly I don't have Waver (YET, I hope) but I do have Merlin.
So to be brief: is Hijikata worth rolling, or should I just let him pass and wait for Onigashima rerun with mama Raikou and Kintarou banner (and hope someone will come to my summons)? Unlimited Summon Works is a no-no for a poor f2p.
If you would go on gameplay route, you are better of with Raikou and Kintoki since they are fairly used for farming rather than Hijikata since you also have Merlin.
That said, no one will stop me from grailing Hijikata to 100 from day 1 of Meiji Ishin, assuming I will get him. His risky gameplay is what makes him more entertaining.
He's one of my favorite characters and outside his hp mechanics, he's a 5 Star ST zerker that hit's like a truck and also he has great Buster Crit potential when combined with Merlin.
It's really entertaining, especially when he only have one HP left.
On the other hand, Merlin will increase his HP bar and lower his attack. How's his performance when he has more that 1HP left? Still gives enemies hell?

On a more serious note, I thought more about the break mechanics implementation and who's going to survive longer when you need to kill some Big Ugly two or three times. Esp when there's something like this https://youtu.be/lG2QD8f8GVg?t=34 O.O
But then again, maybe if Golden Boy has the Necromancy CE he can survive as well.
