Help Me Decide

Frankly, I’ll probbaly just end up whaling all this in the end, but in the hypothetical situation I can only save up quartz which servant would it be most worth saving for among what I present? I currently have my heart divided between Merlin and King Hassan. I also have some second hand desire for Musashi or Okita. I’m leaning more toward King Hassan seeing as I already have Waver to fill that support caster role, but I’d like some outside opinions. Because I mean... even if I have Waver, what’s to say I shouldn’t go double dong with Merlin?

Merlin is without a doubt an entirely different level of servant than Waver. He makes just about any team busted and between having both of them, you will be raking in the FP. King Hassan is a great servant, but if you had to pick one I would pick Merlin easily. There are a lot of sabers and while Musashi and Okita fill their respective roles uniquely, no other servant can match Merlin.

End the end I would say just whale for both Merlin and Hassan. I would have to check but I don't think Hassan has gotten a second rate up (I could very well be wrong) on JP yet while Merlin has. That is also something to consider.

KH has gotten another rate-up too. Tbh OP it doesn't matter which you get. Nothing in the game is hard enough that whether or not you have Merlin makes that big of a difference. Merlin is definitely better than KH though, especially since he is one of those servants that you can take into any situation and be guaranteed to be really useful (only other servant that fits this is Waver imo).

That said, he favours a slower playstyle since a lot of what he does happens over several turns, and for the vast majority of content in the game Waver will be just as good. However, in more difficult and lengthy content, Merlin outshines Waver since he can do what he does a lot more consistently and arguably offers better support potential than Waver.

And yes, Waver + Merlin is broken as hell. The only worry with that one is really if you can be bothered using it all the time since it'll probably get boring curbstomping everything the game throws at you with minimal effort.

Since Merlin and King Hassan is your top priority, i would say choose for Merlin.
About his gameplay quality, everyones know Merlin is too broken.
Though you can still roll for both, it's still up to your choice.

Imo, go with whoever you really like more. Personally, I would say King Hassan is more worth going for, it should not be too hard for you to find a merlin on the support list, since like half of EN is saving for him.
