GSSR (sorry)

Hi, sorry for another post about the GSSR but a noob needs some advice from veteran fgo players. I recently got an itunes gift card for Christmas and i wanted to spend it on the GSSR on new years. Im currently a f2p player and wanted some advice to make my team preform better for future content. My current line up consists of:

Saber: Liz Brave
Archer: None...(half decent one is a lvl50 David)
Lancer: Santa Lily
Rider: Ozy, Santa Alter, Mary+Bonnie, Martha
Caster: Illya, Merlin, Nursery Rhyme
Assassin: Kiritsugu, Stheno
Berserker: BASAKA (herc), Tamamo, Beowulf
Extra: Jalter

Im in between caster and assassin banners. Waver could help my team preform even better and i wouldnt mind having tamamo even if i dont have arts servants. I like sanzang but since illya is my favourite i wont replace her as an attacking caster. As for assassin/ extra, i dont know if i neccessarily NEED jack since i have kerry (i know jack is way better though). Jeanne can also help with harder content and stall. Sorry for the long post but i would like some advice from a gameplay perspective on which banner to roll on. Thank you very much! Your help is much appreciated!

Jack and Kerry are different enough that I'd say even someone with Kerry could use a Jack. For a safe roll, Assassin+Extra is probably best since both are great for high difficulty. Waver and Tamamo are both excellent for that as well, probably better than what Assassin+Extra could offer. Of course you do have a chance to be spooked by Sanzang, but it's 1/3 so not that bad. You could use a better archer too, but Gil comes back next year so you could always roll for him then.

Summary: Assassin+Extra = safe, Caster = higher risk, higher return.

I would go for Assassin/extra, which is the least risky. Jack outclasses Kerry a lot. Outside killing riders, she is also good for her np gain, star gen, and female killing niche. I got spooked by her on the Okita banner and never regretted pulling her. While caster banner is good, there is 1/3 chance that you would pull Sanzang, which overlaps with Illya.

Dolphin here, started in April this year. Just wanna give my two cents.

Saber banner: Liz brave does pretty good ST damage, but you lack an AoE saber. All three SSRs in the banner are AoE, but none of them are particularly good imo. If you're in a dire need of AoE sabers, you might want this.

Archer: I'm gonna be blunt. All the archers in the banner are bad. Orion is half decent vs males but euryale does it better. If you have Euryale or Robin Hood, it's better to focus on them instead. If you really want a gold Archer, Emiya, Gilgamesh, Ishtar, Archuria are a lot better.

Lancer: Janta is good, but Karna is the best AoE lancer in JP atm i think. Enkidu is a little weird but okay. Might want to consider it.

Rider: Ozy is the best ST rider, and santa alter is fine as an AoE for now. I don't see the point for rolling for this in terms of gameplay.

Assassin: Kiritsugu... is underwhelming. Stheno is even worse. Jack is a top tier assassin. I think this banner will be great for you. Even if you end up with Jeanne, she isn't bad either. Great for stall teams.

Caster: Merlin is going to be the meta for a long time. Sanzang is meh. Waver is always good, and Tamamo is for arts team. If you don't mind getting Tamamo, this banner is like 2/3 good so its fine.

Berserker: Nah, you got herc. You're good. Get him to bond 10 and grail him and the game will be a breeze.

Overall, imo aim for assassin>caster=lancer>saber. These are just my 2 cents. Hope i helped. Cheers.
