I'm going to roll in the New Year banner but I don't know in which
my options are Rider or Assassin(Jeanne d' arc) the servants I have right now are
**ONLY SR OR SSR**

Anne & Mary

I should roll for rider like a friend told me or go for jack the ripper??

I always go for waifus but in my opinion you should go for Riders cause Shiki is one of the best 4* assasins(wish i had her) and scathach is an ok farmer, but your riders are kinda meeh, summer mordred is a good farmer and santa alter as well, but your lacking single target dmg dealers.
Anne and Mary can be good, but others are easier to use. Rider GSSR is heavy on st servants, so good chances. But if you can wait for onigashima rerun this summer, Kintoki rider is amazing for st work.
However, I love running shiki and jack together. Riders just wither away under that onslaught.
Given your roster, both banners are very solid. All three riders are very good and they have various uses in farming/quests. Jack is one of the best ST servants, and probably the best after skadi is released in 1.5 years. The problem is Jeanne. She is very good for high difficulty and invaluable after the interlude. However, she is only useful for high difficulty. If you are not a whale, it seems a waste to investigate in a servant you only use occasionally. I would go for riders in this case. Casters and lancers are also very solid if you don’t have 5-star c and l.
Wish I had that problem. Blew my sq on the knights banner and got more sabers not lancers. Been blowing my sq again for enkidu or Ana and got another jack instead. Still hoping I can pull one of them so I can use the GSSR to try for waver instead...
My best saber is nero(waifu lv 90) saberlot(I don't like him too much but he is good), siegfried(I like his design), but I want a 5* saber (musashi or Mordred)
If you cosider gameplay more than waifus, then choose Rider, with the chance of getting Ozy, Quetzalcoalt and even Mebt. Your Assassins are fine against both single and multiple enemies but your Riders will not do well in the quest with just one but strong as hell single boss. But if you only go for waifus and not give a damm about anything else, then decide for your own who is your waifu then roll
