Giant Demon Boar in Section 7 "Tusk" Summer Event help
I've been playing for almost a week now. Currently level 29 and my best 3 Servents are Lv. 33 Kiyohime (Lancer), Lv. 24 Heracles and Lv. 16 Mash. I don't really have anyone else worked up right now.
I'm having trouble bringing down the Giant Demon Boar. I can usually get him down to about 1/3 ~ 1/2 HP before my main party finally bites it. I usually run Kiyohime and Heracles for the pure damage output but I'm probably going to swap out Kiyohime for Mash to help Heracles survive longer. Storywise, I've just started the 2nd Singularity at Septem.
My questions are:
1) Should I continue to upgrade my main three servents or would I be better off using some resources to work on a 4th and/or 5th so I have stronger subs?
2) I don't have the luxury of borrowing a super high level support as you are limited to the summer female guest servants. Is there a particular one that would work better for winning this fight?
I can probably clear it if I wait another day to be able to use the Restore Sporit Origin command spell, but I would like to try and beat it straight up if possible. Or am I just too low right now to realistically stand a chance?

Maybe you should buy EXP in the shop (both event and regular shop) to raise you Herc first

Seconding this, the EXP in the shop is a good way to quickly level, and the ascension materials for the first couple ascensions aren't too demanding for both Heracles and Kiyo, so once you get them leveled more they'll do more damage and survive longer.

For the boar your best bet for right now is to probably put defensive support servants around whatever story provided support you are using. Use the 40k friend points we got recently and try to get georgios or Leonidas. Those two have a taunt ability and can eat some of the damage while the support you use builds up np. Also I think artoria Archer is available for that quest but not sure. Use her if she is available as she can charge her np fastest. Otherwise if she isn't use Tamamo lancer or kiyo lancer.
As for team development with regards to the future, having two berserkers as leads is ok (in fact herc has viability even much later in the game) but definitely you'd want more variety as with two berserkers it becomes a case of trying to kill the enemy before they wipe you out. Good servants you can get off the FP gacha include: Hans (best non 5* support), cu chulain, David, and the aforementioned Leonidas and georgios. All those servants and mash are worth developing for gameplay reasons.

Right now I'm running the most optimal event CEs I can for people to use but soon as the event is over, if there isn't an event after I'll switch to optimal usage CEs.

They're all available. If I remember someone said that only 4 stars up are story locked. It just takes luck to get them though...

Just listen to everybody is saying. The basics of turn based games is leveling up, buffs and strategy. Mash is level 16, wouldn't survive, Herc is level 24 wouldn't survive as he's a berserker and has no survivability right now, Kiyo lancer level 33, couldn't deal too much damage due to not having her second skill.
Enemy is level 60 or something berserker with 100 thousand health. Basic attacks and NP is AOE like dragons so taunt is useless in this case.
Level up Mash to at least level 30 or possibly Higher, Kiyo to 40 to her second skill to deal more damage, and use Artoria Archer for quick NP or Tama lancer since they have survivability and could NP quickly, but I suggest Artoria due to Tama having a self stun on her survivability.
Run a Mash, Kiyo, and Artoria team and see how it goes.
Level up Herc, but he's more of a future priority since he shines with his Bond CE and his level is too low, but make sure to always put him in your teams even just the backline.
Also I recommend David just to save your team when it NPs.

Thanks again for the advice everyone. I got Mash to 30 and Kiyo to 37 and started them with Artoria with Herac coming off the bench. Between juggling evades, invincibility and heals, I was able to keep everyone going long enough while Artoria did most of the leg work. I had to full heal Artoria at the end with a command spell, but it was worth it as I was able to bring the boar down.

If I’m not mistaken, aren’t the only supports available the summer ones in the story? I beat all the demon boars with the story support Archuria, Rider mordred, and Kiyolancer
