farming QP on summer event

is it more efficient than using my apples on this half ap cost?
I mean if its like fate zero accel then I should spend the apples on the event after İ clear the shop to farm QP but if it isnt then İ will use them now to farm mats
I'm asking this to old jp players than already played this event
