It’s (mostly) better to focus on maximizing DP during the raids. not least because there’s a snowball effect with it: you get more DP, so you get more Hot Springs CE, which helps you get even more DP, and so on. Plus, if you ever want to use Rider Kintoki, you’ll want to prioritize DP, since that’s the only way you’ll ever be able to get his ascension materials. One caveat: if you’re “stuck” between two different tiers of raids (e.g., you can comfortably beat the 3MM raid but can’t do 4.5MM damage on the 6MM raid), then it makes sense to experiment with currency CEs on the 3MM raid to see if you can still beat it while also optimizing your currency drops.
