With Cu alter + 2xmerlin what do you think is the optimal CE + MC for this lineup?
i see people say 2030 on both merlin and victor on cu, but berserker star absorb rate is so low that makes the crit unreliable

That won't work very well.
Cu alter has a star weight of 9.
9 * 6 = 54
An mlb enforcer is 800% so
9*8 = 72
Which is just barely higher then Merlin's 49. A general rule of the thumb is having at least 3 times the star weight to have stars consistently go to the damage dealer. This is why archers/riders are so good as their natural star weight are usually 3 times higher then casters. That's also the reason why Raikou and zerkerlot have like 3000-6000% star weight. They really need it with their pathetic star weight.
For cu alter, frankly speaking, survivability is the best way to go imo. Just stick volumen hydrargyrum on him and just watch him go to work.
This is a good point. Admittedly, I didn't do the math and you broke it down quite well.
Uhm, the CE increases Critical Gather rate BY 800% if MLB, so it is 72+9 = 81. so it still helps him to gather stars more effectively, but I do agree that his bond CE or Volumen are better options
