I am about to get a new phone number and was wondering if the transfer number I got a couple months ago just saved the account as it was, or if it updates and when used will transfer the account in its current state.
I assume its the latter but want confirmation as I am a little paranoid about losing the progress I have made since (especially considering I gave up being f2p and invested real money)
It will transfer the account in it's current state. Anything you got after setting up the transfer code will still be on the account when you transfer it to your new device. Just remember to set up a new code once you've transferred to the new device.
One other thing worth noting, if you ever plan to transfer back and forth between 2 devices. It's awkward to put into words, so I hope I get this across well enough.
If you transfer your account from device A to device B, device A will prompt you to start a new game when you try transfer back to it, from device B. Just hit yes, it will clear the data, and now you'll be able to transfer back to device A. I think it probably only does this if you left it installed, so just remember to do a fresh install whenever you want to transfer to a device you were previously using. I hope this made sense, no one ever mentions this, and I was confused when it happened to me.
The transfer number that you got a couple months ago will not cause you to lose any progress. However, if it makes you feel better, you could also get a new transfer number.
