Assuming we get the Prison Tower rerun event around the end of this month or at the start of next month, I was wondering if it would be better to summon for Dantès or MHX Alter. Which servant do you guys would be best to summon for and why?

From what I understand, from a gameplay standpoint, neither are amazing until Skadi shows up in more than a year. Once Skadi arrives MHXA is the better of the two, but both are really good, so if you can only go for one, go for Waifu or Husbando reasons. I'm going with MHXA because she's slightly rarer, a good waifu, and she's basically a cute dark jedi.
From what I heard, Dantes + double Skadi is the current meta in JP. MHXA is also very good but her np is ST, while most challenging and farming quests feature multiple enemies per turn. Dantes can NP loop through most quests with all the buffs and a kscope.
But yeah, both are long-term investment.
You’ll hear a lot of comments that both are just average gameplay-wise until Skadi bla bla. While I cant say much about MHXA coz she isnt out yet in NA, let me assure you that Dantes is better than popular opinion says. He’s my favourite servant and has never left my party, functioning as either AOE or semi-dps/ star generator. Given proper support servant, he’ll do serious work for you even before Skadi.
That said, it’s down to who you prefers. I like Dantes becoz of his character during Prison Tower event. I’ll try for MHXA coz she looks amazing. If you have trouble deciding, just toss the coin (to know what you hope for, not for the actual commitment).

If I were to choose between the two, I think I'd go for Dantes. Although you rarely get to see Ruler bosses, his high damage makes him an AoE Quick based Jalter, and as people have already mentioned, once Skadi arrives he'll become ridiculously OP. With the right team and CEs, you can crit your way through the stages with ease since he's a natural star generator.
Though Berserkers are more commonly used and often more useful than Avengers, the fact that MHXA is Quick based severely affects her damage output while retaining all the Berserker weaknesses at the same time, which is why she's heavily dependent of supports like Skadi to reach her true potential.
I might be mistaken about a few things since I haven't had any contact with MHXA, nor do I have a Dantes of my own, but the fact is that neither of them would truly shine without Skadi. I'd recommend you to go with whoever suits you better. You won't be disappointed either way.

it all depends on what you need most, Edmond is an avenger so he deals only effective damage on rulers and berserks but he is the 4th servant with the highest attack of the game and his skils only buff himself.
since the small jedi is a berserk and deals effective damage to all servants, in contraception taking effective damage from all, but she possesses fewer weaknesses than the usual berserk, a cure that helps with the problem of the exorbitant damage she suffers and its mission rank up is also able to absorb critical stars in exchange for the reduction of absorption of an ally.
the key point is one is ST and the other AOE, my point of view is skadi will not turn around for a long time. Let's see what we have now, if you want a partial damage cause that will eventually turn into a great farming, choose Edmond . If you want a berserk that will be very effective when the subject is critical damage choose MHXA.
