Building a team around Edmond Dantes

I've been a fan of the Count since his event quests, and I've been trying to keep him as a mainstay in my party since. Currently I'm using him in a quick team alongside Jack the Ripper and Rider Kintoki. I think I may need to drop Kintoki since he gathers all of the crit stars and I've had to hook him up with critical damage CEs when I feel like Jack or Edmond should be the ones supplying the crit damage. Plus, there's no real survivability in this team aside from Jack's evade. Has anyone experienced success using any other servants on a team with Edmond?

And as far as CEs go, any recommendations? I'm current switching between Kaleidescope and Golden Sumo, but I'm willing to try out pretty much whatever could make my home boy more viable.

Put a good ole Hans on that team to increase crit damage or Waver. Slap on a Hot Spring Under the Moon on or put on SEAL designation force to give Edmond a chance to absorb some stars. The Classic 3 Great Heroes can help as well.

This is gonna be a long post...

Dantes lv100 10/10/10 user here. I try not to build a Quick team because they are just too RNG and unsustainable to my liking. However, I like Dantes and so my strategy is teaming him up with another dmg dealer and a support.

Support is straight forward. Waver and Hans fit this role best. They are good in generic terms, providing both DEF and ATK and not specific to buster/arts combi, the way Tamamo or Nightingale are.
Dmg dealer depends on quest and class advantage. I like to use Lancer alter and Tesla as they are both reliable crit dmg dealers who can make use of Dantes' skills and NP that generate stars. How it usually goes down: build servant NP bars in 1st wave, use Dantes NP in 2nd wave to clear mobs and make stars, finally Lancer alter/ Tesla NP+crit the boss stage. There are many other alternatives for the dmg dealer role so I wont elaborate too much. The servants that fulfill this role by no means need to be quick oriented, just saying. It works out just fine for me.

I enjoy fielding Dantes immensely because he is well rounded and adds value to the team in many situations, thanks to high atk stats and versatile (and strong) skills. Figuring team comp for him can be challenging because he is a bit of everything yet falling short compared to others when it comes to specialization. At some point, I simply acknowledge that fielding him is not the way to clear certain quests (e.g: boss fights at Camelot which require some level of servant niches). But that's okay. No servants are bad and neither are any perfect. If Dantes is meant to be a jack of all trade, let him be and he'll function just fine. He isnt the same level of, say, Cu Alter i.e. when in doubt, use them. You CAN go wrong with putting Dantes on the field (but no way im gonna put him through that if i alr know he's not meant for such quests).

Part of the fun is figuring out how to best use your favourite servant, even if they arent up there in the broken tier. To date my Dantes is at bond level 9 :)

EDIT: totally missed out the CE question. I recommend starting NP with secondary effects. Using his NP with golden rule active allows you to potentially spam it, so having starting NP bar makes it easier. Golden sumo and Classic Three Heroes are prob the best now. If you want crit dmg out of Dantes, in future there is a CE w Enkidu/ Gil caster, which I will try and see if it can make Dantes a potential crit machine. Right now the only real choice to make him crit is Seal Designation but that's sub-optimal in my view, as you pretty much have to give up everything else. You can also try teamming him with berserkers so Dantes can have a chance at absorbing crit stars.
