About NP damage and such ...

I was just thinking about how Mordred, Artoria, and Arthur are all saberfaces and they’re basically family/same person and all are aoe sabers with base 300% damage. My question comes when Mordred uses her NP it hits 5 times, Arthur 3 times, and Artoria 1 time; is the damage applied 5 times with 300% dmg-3 x 300# etc etc? Or do the hit counts break up the damage to hits like 300%/ 5 times.

Was wondering because if Mordred actually has 5 hits applying 300% dmg each time to waves she’d be waaay better than Artoria who really can only give an atk buff. Arthur is a bit different because he has a NP dmg boost at least to stack with his mana burst.

Well as far as I know hits only change animation, and NP gain per hit this is something I've just heard around so just ask other people. If this is real then Archuria and rider mordred would be higher on the tier list, and Xuanzang and JoJo saint would've dealt tons of damage, but no. It's 300% damage/hits as far as I know.

As far as I know, the NP damage listed is the total amount of damage that the NP does. So the number of attacks don't matter for the damage. It's 300% total damage, spread out among X attacks. However, it will affect things like star generation and NP gain, where applicable.

Btw, this isn't really related to your question, but just in case you didn't know, the damage that they list is before the card type is taken into account, AFAIK. For example, buster NPs get a 1.5 damage multiplier. So if it says 300%, it will actually do 450%. So if you are trying to compare NPs between different servants, you have to take the card type into account as well. An arts or quick NP will show higher damage % on this site, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they hit harder. It's just a higher % to compensate for their lower multipliers. An Arts NP has a multiplier of 1, so the damage % listed on the site is accurate for Arts. Quick NPs have a multiplier of .8, so they will actually do less than what the site says.

And of course, the passive skills that the servant has need to get taken into account as well (i.e. Madness Enhancement and such).
