You need at least 5 CE (6 with friend's). Either you buy one right now to make it 5, or keep grinding until you got one from enemy's drop.

Should I buy all the Event CEs in the shop?
....While they drop themselves on the field and I could spend those hard earned Pills on something necessary like ascension materials.
My story is that I've been following the Event Walkthrough (https://grandorder.gamepress.gg/sanzang-coming-west-event-walkthrough), which tells you to prioritize buying the Event CEs. During the process when I've already bought 3 of them, another dropped while I was doing the Expert free quest, and it just occurred to me that I might be wasting my resources doing this and the Walkthrough might not be aiming for the new players who need them after all.
The reason I said that is because I ended up with exceed CEs after the Rashomon event because I bought 3 of them in the shop, while those 900 gourds could have been spent on better things.
Now I'm afraid I might be making the same mistake again.
What do you guys think? Should I refrain from buying the last piece of Event CE in the shop now that I have 4 of them, or is there something I'm not aware of?

In my comment I said you can buy now to make it 5 or just keep grinding until you got another one from drop, so it's up to you. But in my case, I bought all 5 because I got literally 0 CE Drop lol.

It's a limited SSR CE. In my opinion that automatically makes it worth more than any Mats you can get from the shop, even hearts.

The thing about the Event CEs is that they always have some effect to help you with the event, wether it is more damage or better drops. You don't really know if you'll get drops.
Since the first day I only got one drop just now. During Rashoumon I had at least 9 Golden Carps. You can always MLB them if you have enough copies, it'll enhance whatever effect they have plus the drops for the event so it'll make it easier or less heavy to grind, however one MLB won't have the same effectiveness as 5 of them.
IMO you should buy it, you can't really pedict the drops and with more merit drops you'll have faster access and be able to clear often Tianzhu, which is pretty much the best place for drops of all the mats.
Also, there aren't that many materials for each currency right now besides the class materials for skills.
