I know a lot of of people are saying to save for Merlin, but that also means passing on Xuanzang, Jalter (maybe), Altria Lancer, and many others. Plus I'm pretty sure when he does release the chances of rolling him will be about -0.1% anyway.
Would I be better off just rolling for some of these new upcoming servants and save myself a half years worth of misery?
I guess is better roll for anyone you want, everybody will have Merlin for support servant so dont worry if you don't roll for him.
And you could always use tickets if dont wanna spend SQ, I got Xuanzang after spend 6 tickets
Yea, it best to have low expectation of getting anything good from the Gacha. 0.1 percent is pretty much zero percent.
It honestly depends both on what you want and what you actually need. Besides the servants you listed, we got other good servants like Summer Altria, Minamoto no Yorimitsu and Ozymandias coming soon before September.
If you really feel like you should save for Merlin and pass up these other good servants, then feel free to do so. My personal take on Merlin? Having him would be very nice, but it overall isn’t necessary to win any battle that I could take on. Besides, I’m sure that a lot of players on your friends list will try to roll him, and some may even get lucky. You could use their Merlins in the meantime
I don’t have Merlin so I don’t know how good he is myself but a lot of people say that, while he is very good, he’s definitely not needed in every team. He just makes beating stuff easier so I think you should just roll for whoever you like best.
well mathematically it works out to 0.73% chance of a focused 5*. But in practice its usually around 200-300 SQ for the average person, 300~ if your unlucky, and 90-180 if your lucky
