Overview

  • The challenge quest for Fate/Apocrypha: Inheritance of Glory consists of Amakusa Shirou with 2 HP bars, accompanied by four Servants meant to participate in the original Fate/Apocrypha game (which was cancelled).
  • The fight itself is more or less a damage race due to Amakusa’s buff-removing NP, and use of the event CE At Trifas greatly reduces its difficulty.
  • Amakusa gains a special skill which Drains his NP gauge to apply 3-turn attack and defense buffs on his allies. Fortunately, the skill use frequency is very low, and he will rarely get to use it more than twice. However, he will always cast this skill on the first turn.
  • Upon death, Amakusa will apply permanent, unremovable critical and defense buffs on his remaining allies.
  • Amakusa’s allies have access to their normal Servant skills and NP.
  • The ideal approach to this stage is to deal enough AoE damage to take care of Amakusa’s companions before they become a problem, while dealing enough single target damage to finish off Amakusa himself before he can unleash a second NP.
  • In the early fight, it is recommended to prioritize defeating David due to his offensive NP and lower NP bar count. While Benkei’s Stun and Taunt can be annoying, his NP is non-damaging, making him less of a threat overall.
  • It is recommended to burst Kintoki whenever he comes out due to his Berserker class. Georgios, meanwhile, can generally be left for last as his single-target NP is not so much of a threat in the final stages of the fight.

Team Recommendations

  • In general, there are two main lineup types for this stage. The first, more traditional strategy is to use two damage dealers. With this lineup, the frontlines will be charged with Breaking Amakusa’s NP bar, before tanking his NP head-on and giving way to the backline, who will finish the kill.
  • The second lineup typically features a single damage dealer who will be buffed as much as possible, before being switched out to avoid Amakusa’s NP. Afterwards, said damage dealer will be charged with quickly finishing off the enemies, typically through AoE NP spam.
  • AoE Damage dealers fare excellently in this stage, particularly those who are capable of dealing at least neutral damage towards Rulers, or event Servants with special event damage boost (preferably both). Those with defense ignore or buff removal also hold advantage thanks to boss!Amakusa’s special skill. Amakusa Shirou, Spartacus, Edmond Dantes, and Antonio Salieri, to name a few, are excellent choices. Amakusa, ironically enough, is one of the best options of this stage, being capable of essentially soloing the stage with a MLB event CE.
  • While defensive supports are less valuable due to Amakusa’s NP, offensive supports are of prime importance and should be brought along to assist the main damage dealer. Zhuge Liang, Merlin, and Tamamo no Mae are prime choices for this role, alongside options such as Chiron, Nero Claudius (Bride) and Helena Blavatsky.
  • The success chance of the above strategies are dramatically increased with the aid of major offensive Supports Merlin and Zhuge Liang, with William Shakespeare and Helena Blavatsky as their alternatives.
  • Chaldea Combat Uniform is generally the best Mystic Code for most lineups thanks to the flexibility of Order Swap (as well as the fact that no defensive buff works against Amakusa’s NP). Meanwhile, more offensive options such as Anniversary Blonde should be used in regards to solo runs.
  • 500-Year Obsession is a very good CE for suicide-tanking strategies, as its NP Seal can significantly delay Amakusa’s NP from charging.
