Overview
Unlike 11-5 and 11-6, this fight has the normal 3 Wave structure of relatively minor enemies in Wave 1, a mid-boss (Megalos) in Wave 2, and the final boss (Berserker of El Dorado) in Wave 3. In addition, Megalos and Berserker of El Dorado will randomly appear throughout the fight to do 1000-1500 unavoidable damage to a random target on the field, including enemies. Megalos does this during Waves 1 and 3, while Berserker of El Dorado will do this during Wave 2, though it does not appear that Berserker of El Dorado will make an end of turn attack if the end of turn action was Megalos’ Taunt debuff on a random Servant.
Wave 1 is a bit of a breather Wave in that it’s possible to build up NP gauge here to quickly punch Megalos in Wave 2, but it’s not advised to spend more than 3 or so turns here since each Amazoness have pretty hefty crits (~4000) to neutral class enemies, and the unavoidable damage from Megalos can add up if he targets the party.
Wave 2, in terms of mechanics, is 11-5 and 11-6 all over again. Megalos has less HP than in 11-5 and 11-6, but the permanent Attack and Defense Down from 11-6 does not carry over to this fight. The most dangerous thing is that, upon triggering Megalos’ final Guts without Megalos being Charmed or Stunned, Megalos will do the multiple hit attack related to his automatic Taunt skill if he has not yet done so since the last time the automatic Taunt skill was applied, though this is the only action Megalos can take after his final Guts triggers (except perhaps his NP).
Wave 3’s Berserker of El Dorado follows the normal Berserker action limit of 2 actions. With the exception of Megalos randomly appearing at the end of Berserker of El Dorado’s turn, nothing unusual occurs during this wave. Despite Berserker of El Dorado having 2 HP bar crystals, the battle ends upon breaking the 1st crystal.
Team Recommendations
The basic team setup used for 11-5 and 11-6 will work just as well in 11-7 since the most dangerous part of this fight is Megalos in Wave 2. While Euryale won’t be as effective in Wave 3 against Berserker of El Dorado due to Berserker of El Dorado not being Male, the Chaldean Combat Uniform Mystic Code can remedy this by swapping out Euryale for a different single target NP Servant. The two most notable free options are Chloe and Kintoki (Rider), but any other single target NP Servant can work just fine.
