Can you prevent break gauge buffs from activating?

If you used something like skill seal or stun on a boss in the same turn that you deplete their break gauge would that then prevent their buff from activating or would it activate like normal?

I tried stunning Salter on her first break. Two turns later she used it.

So you can delay it with a stun but you can’t stop it; and all delaying does is make it more unpredictable.

I see. What about the negate buff debuff, would that work?

It depends what it is, but buffs that can’t be removed also can’t be negated. You’ve just got to figure out a way to work through or around Salter’s defense debuffing.
