After the event - absolutely.

During the event? That depends on your access to gacha CEs and how many bonus drops you can get.

I haven't tried to simulate the event, and I'm not really sure I understand all the mechanics of it actually. So to me, the question is more about how much extra grinding does one need to do to MLB them (and how many apples if so). I didn't do the original event, so I don't have my own perspective on this question.

For example, in the previous event, I would have basically needed to buy almost nothing else from the shop in order to have gotten the 3 other copies of the CE without burning a lot of apples (and probably burning myself out in the process...)
