So I've been putting off thinking about this for as long as possible, but it's time to man up and start thinking forward. How the heck are we expected to level up our CEs? Since I'm assuming most of the stuff we'd ever use would come from the FP Gacha. Are we just supposed to grit our teeth and slowly grind their levels? Or do we level up lower rarity CEs first and they end up giving more exp that way?
Pretty much, yes. But there are events that give out 3* CE as a reward that have no effect and are meant to be CE fodder. I think the SERAPH event coming in a few months gives out 4* CEs to be used for leveling.
CE Bombs also make sure you don't waste tons of QP while leveling your CE. If you don't know how to do it yet, check here for a quick CE Bomb guide.

You should check out a guide for what's known as "CE Bombs" on Youtube. The basics are this:
You feed 1 and 2* CE's 20 other low rarity CE's. This creates a level 10 1* CE or level 15 2* CE. However when you then feed this CE to another one, the experience is also carried over.
As an example, say you have 420 1* CEs that you want to feed to your lvl 44 MLB Holy Night Supper. Feeding them 20 at a time costs you 100k QP per enhance and gives 20k exp, for a total of 2.1 Mil QP spent, and 420k EXP gained (assuming no super/great success)
Instead, you feed 20 of your CE's to a 1* CE (which costs 1k QP). Doing this 19 more times gives you 20 level ten 1* CE's (assuming no super/great successes happen), for the cost of 20k QP
Now, feeding these twenty lvl 10 CE's to your high level one costs only 100k QP (120k considering the cost of making the bombs), instead of 2.1 Mil.
Going even further, you can feed those CE's to a MLB'd 2* CE (so no EXP is wasted), and then feed that CE to your 5* to reduce the QP cost even more.
While CE bombs save a lot of QP and it is absolutely recommended to build them, they don't exactly give you more EXP.
Even with CE bombs it takes forever to level up one single CE. I spent half a year to build 5 complete CE bombs which allowed me to raise the Golden Sumo CE to level 83 last month. I don't know if I'll ever get one to 100 or whether it's even worth it...
The SERAPH event in May should reward a special CE designed to level up other CEs. I think it gives 30,000 exp
Guda guda rerun has exp CE's too. But yes, very tedious and it takes dedication to a single ce to raise to upper levels
