It's possible, yes. You just need to use the right Servants for a given situation rather than brute-forcing your way with whichever Servant is the strongest.

Will i be able to reach higher level quest with only 3*? Or should i try for dantes/MHX A despite only having 60 SQ and 14 ticket? Probably just a 4* servant for me would be nice tho
It's possible, yes. You just need to use the right Servants for a given situation rather than brute-forcing your way with whichever Servant is the strongest.
I've been F2P since I started, and only recently spent money on the GSSR, and I even did that with reluctance because I personally feel the monetization is very close to exploitive.
However, I've had a lot of fun playing, and I think the actual game is very well done. So I've developed my own way of play to maximize enjoyment with minimal investment :)
My advice is to try to mostly develop your own support servants. For most of my play, all the way through Camelot, I only had Hans and Mash. And by doing so, I was able to use friends for their damage dealers. So I got to play with lots of 4* and 5* servants. And the best thing is that they are all free :)
If you want to go this way, I would also also develop David, and some of the better budget damage dealers: Ushi, Caesar, Robin Hood, Cu (F/SN and Proto). Also, make sure you get the 4* budget servants, and try to do what you need to get them to NP5 and all of the ascension mats (because that's the only way to get these).
And then, save up for banners where you can get your own gold support servants, like Waver and Merlin, and eventually, Skadi. Getting your own gold support makes using those gold damage servants even better. If you want to spend money, the best return is on GSSRs. There are also times when they offer a free 4* (I think it's tied to the anniversary events).
The other thing to add is that when using lower star servants, you do have to play better and smarter since you have somewhat less capability to steamroll :) So learn to take advantage of every edge that you can, from class affinity to counting cards.
I'm saving for summer nero, which is 6 months away. And the only good 3* i have is proto cu, and i'm lacking on all servant type besides assassin and lancer(only proto cu tbh)
If you roll on the FP gacha every day at least once (using your free 100-pull), you can build a very decent roster: Caesar, Proto Cu, Robin and David and Euryale, Ushi and Georgios, Medea and Hans (and even Shakespeare and Mozart have extremely useful niches), Hassan (Cursed Arm, I think, but I was lucky to pull Jack, as my only 5* that I used at the time). I hear Lu Bu is good too, but I never developed my own Berserker until I got Herc at about the start of Camelot (but didn't start using him until about Babylon). And that roster carried me through just about through Salomon (I pulled Merlin and he was half-leveled but useful in that too).
My advice is to not get hung up on gold servants. You'll get some slowly. But I think you'll get frustrated if you view your 3* and less as being inadequate. And if you want to see what 1-3* can do, here's a video of a team of those beating Goetia in Solomon (and actually, there was just 1 3*, there are 2 1* and 3 2* for the rest of the team, and no 4/5* CEs either):

Yes, with the exception of Nerofest, every story chapter and event is considered to be clearable with at least silver and bronze servants.
Theoretically, sure,
Can one theoretically also cook without utensils and cooking wares? Also sure.
High * servants are just that. They are convenient tools to help you make your life easier for you. Having one gives you more options.
You'll get your 5* soon.
Just wait until Honako Green make a video using FP Servants to beat Edmond's challenge quest
Yes, it is doable and 3 * servants is considered the strongest free unit. Also don't forget to raise some supp/tank like Mashu and Hans.
Class advantage unit + Hans/Mashu + friends Waver/Merlin/support can help you deal with almost everythings in this game.
For example when you're dealing with a boss like Orion you can use Proto Chu + Hans ( any Crit Star gen CEs ) + Waver to kill it ASAP. Proto Chu is also an amazing Crit based servant with good survivability. You can even put him on your backline as your final trump card.
Or use Euryale to kill Orion on the goddess node, there are lots of amazing 3* servants.
Don't forget to use class advantage for more easier wins.
I'll say yes you can... You just need to use a correct servant and correct team composition..
Just wait till you meet with a servant's banner that you really like and then rolling. For now, you can just use the gold support from your friends..
And in the meantime, you can wait for an event where you get a welfare support... most of them is quite good...
The nearest event where you'll get a welfare servant is on rerun guda-guda where you can get Nobunaga Archer, and AoE archer that is quite good for wave clearing.. Then later we will get a rerun of onigashima where you can get a super strong ST rider, and we will get scathatch assasin on summer rerun..
If you need a friends for borrowing support, you can tell me your ID and I'll add you, as my current FL are full for now, so I'll need to clear up a bit before you can add me/I can add you... I didn't have much but maybe you can use some of my servant... this is my current support setup for Moon Goddess event.. I'll change it according to the event usually.. But I'm a F2P, so maybe you can't expect many event CE from gacha will be on my support list ^^;
For the most part, yes. Try to build your roster around powerful friend support servants. Specifically, i recommend going the arts team route. While merlin is broken, kid gil is about the only free servant that can fully take advantage of him besides upcoming event servants. So, aim for mash hans robin euryale georgios medea david mozart to pair with waver and tamamo. Make sure to get the free event servants, as they are very powerful.
Personally, I'd advise the other way around. Depend on your own support servants, and use friend damage dealers supplemented with your own. This is because there are plenty of times when the greater damage, particluarly AoE damage, afforded by friends' servants makes a lot of things easier. And this is doubly true when some specific servant's niche fits well, such as anti-male/female/divine, etc. There's a lot of people out there with lots of different servants to rely on rather than just a Waver or Merlin.
Most of the time, I ran with only Hans in the frontline, Georgios in the backline, and with two damage dealers, one from a friend. And I also used the combat suit when necessary to bring Georgios in, usually the final battle, where his taunt gave a lot of breathing room (and this was done primarily because my Hans almost never died in combat). When things got tougher in Camelot, I sometimes brought in Mash rather than one of my damage dealers (and mostly when I used a friend berserker). I think I only remember one battle where I used a support Waver because the strategy relied on a 1st turn AoE NP, IIRC.
EDIT: I was just thinking that the upcoming Dantes challenge quests are a case where I think it is far easier to adapt to a situation when friend supports are not available (as is the case in all but the last challenge quest) when you've been used to fielding your own supporting servants than when you have relied on friends.
it's doable, but you need to properly raise them first. My recomendation servant to raise would be
Support : mash, hans, shakespeare, mozart, asterios
Dps : cu(proto), jaguar, lu bu, bedivere, fergus, billy, euryale, robin, hundred persona
Semi-support: leonidas, george, medea, hassan, serenity, og cu
Beside 60sq not necessarily guaranteed 4*, if got a bad roll you gonna end up just with a buch of ce's
The odds of getting a single gold servant (4/5*) in 20 pulls (60 SQ) is only 56%, just slightly better than 50/50, so it's not uncommon even.
