Happy New Year to all, and all the best rolls for 2019 and forwards.
In the last few months, my rolls have been pretty successful, and I have acquired a bunch of really powerful boss killing servants. However, that has lead me to have a vast deficiency in powerful 4/5 star servants with strong AOE wave clearing / farming capabilities.
So, as the question posed, which servants in 2019 should I be saving for?
PS. My 5* servants are: Musashi, Merlin, Drake, Jalter, Squirtoria, Nightingale, Tamamo no Mae.
My 4* servants are: Tamamo cat, Frankenstein, Heracles, Ibaraki Douji, Kintoki Rider, Carmilla, Anne bonny+mary read, Assassin Scahath, Chloe, Elizabeth Castor, Elizabeth Brave, Elizabeth Lancer, Nitocris, Rama, and lastly Santa Alter.

Arash is a great AOE wave clearer, even comes with a 30% battery skill. Granted, it’s not 50%, but what did you expect of a 1 Star? Arash is king of farming for a reason. Also kiyohime is also good, comes with a buster buff. Both servants need interlude tho. If you want a gold servant, I hear Eresh is a pretty good AOE lancer(and waifu)

You have very good aoe already, namely Drake, Tamamo Cat, Fran and Nitocris.
2 Berserkers effective against everything and two with powerful np battery.
You have others but I'd stick with those 4, support them with a buster up and press red. Nitocris is arts but is quite cheap to get her going, her 2nd skill lvl 8 allows her to insta np and that's all you need really.
Well You already have Drake and Nitocris. Both of them are super good for farming/wave clearing. As for the upcoming new servants, the best AOE is probably Summer Nero, with her incredible NP gain + charge and 80% atk up for 3 turns. Alternatively Katsushika Hokusai for NP spam potential with Tamamo.
You can of course go for Dantes as he is apparently the most broken farming monster in JP server, but only works with double Skadi.
Gilgamesh and Raikou are top of the list for AOE servants. Gil comes around April right before the BB event. Raikou is back later on during Onigashima rerun and again for Shimosa chapter release banner 2. Nero caster is generally considered the best AOE caster, available during summer banner 1. Edmond Dantes is probably the best AOE avenger, good with Skadi, available at the end of January during the Prison Tower rerun.
Dantes, but he will be out around late january. 5* AOE Avenger, universal wavecleaver, just put Immaginary Around MLB on him, and avoid pairing him with riders and archer. Once Skadi cames in 2020, he becomes best Avenger.
If you don't have many quarts left, save for summer, Nero Caster is the best AOE Caster, easily.
If you want more zercs AOE, roll for Raikou in either Onigashima rerun (may or june...), or Shimosa 2nd banner (october).
If you want Lancers, either do the halloween rerun for NP5 Janta, or save for Eresh, in december.
April, CCC event, Gilgamesh and others in rate up.
Drake is the best Rider farmer, thing wont change.
Shimosa will have a Buster AOE Assassin in one of their banners, as 4*, also, Halloween rerun for Cleopatra, the 5* AOE Buster.
You should also look after september, we get a ticket for choose a free 4*, Zerckalot and Emiya Archer are amazing for farming.
