Herc with a bond CE (solo with a suicide taunter like george or leonidas) should be able to solo SOLOMON (even the last boss). You can google a video BASAKA SEKAI DE ICHIBAN TSUYOI DAKARA of on YouTube to get an idea.

Can a NP5 Bond 10 Herc breeze through all Solomon nodes
I have a NP5 Herc at Bond 10, will he be able to hold his own for all Solomon nodes?
I have some other relevant buster support/ST dps like Nightingale, Ozy, Jalter etc and debuff clearer Martha. Guess with either my own Merlin (with blessing of gacha god) or support Merlin, I am all ready?
Also, should i put Herc bond CE for this event for more survivality or a buster related CE for more damage?

For raid farming, starting gauge and NP damage would do fine. High bond ST Berserker with good NP level is very good for farming the tentacles.
For the story boss fights, up to you. You can clear it with a bunch of 3* and below. If you are unsure about the certainty of the outcome, just slap castle of snow on herc at the rear end of the party to give yourself peace of mind.
