I'd strongly suggest yes start using your apples. If you haven't cleared out the shop of what you want, get that over and done with now so you can focus solely on stockings after.
Also consider your team for the last quest and that I imagine at least 4 of the members in your party will have Holy Night Supper equipped, how quickly will you be able to farm a sole run of the Large snowflakes? I don't have a Siegfried or a waver to help with np charge and my best assassin is Carmilla who could serve a purpose against Santa alter but otherwise will put my berserkers to work. I won't rule it out but I'd be impressed if you could use 67+ golden apples in 2 days.
