I'm not sure what you mean exactly. The game already displays how much total damage you do from an np attack by default.

does anyone know how to set the game to show the total damage after an NP?
i cant find it anywere....

I assume you miss the total damage from NP because of lags. For me it displayed after NP, but sometimes because my phone lagging, it didnt displayed after NP occured(or maybe jus few second and i didnt watch it)

Sometimes after NP it just goes to white screen and didnt display total damage (in my experience)

It's just because your phone takes too long to switch from the NP animation back to the main screen, so it shows the white screen for too long, and you miss the damage display. Mine does it sometimes too.

I think if you go at normal battle speed rather than high battle speed it will stay up for a bit longer so there is a better chance of seeing the total

This is correct. Doing battles at high speed (I think it's 3-4x normal speed at a guess from watching Mordred's NP so many times in both). If your phone / tablet lags you can miss the NP, sometimes the game just lags up and the fight moves past displaying it. It's not an option, just a bit of issue with some NP's being so graphically intense what your playing on has to catch up.
