Tbh..i do really want J alter in my squad.. but i do read that she won't be that useful in future. I'm very sure that everyone is saving up for Merlin & king hassan. I for 1 definitely will want merlin for easy mode. I recently got Tamaomao which i'm very happy with. Currently i only have 60 SQ (LOL) but i do have $100 in my itunes store.
She's still useful and pretty solid for delivering huge amount of neutral damage to non-ruler servant. Definitely the best at doing her job.
If Jalter is your waifu then proceed to focus on rolling her first, but if you really care for gameplay more than waifu Memerlin is your choice.
I won't explain Merlin kit nor his ability, because that wizard is a cheat engine.
Also congratz for getting Tamamo she can make a good art team for you.
As someone who is plagued with shit luck save for MERLIN Jalter is summonqble later but the one you need is Merlin

After thinking about a lot of this I decided to use all my tickets (and if it won't be enough - I'll also use tickes that we'll get from campaign) but save SQ
You know, Jeanne is viable in some situations (raid quests, single enemies with shitload of HP) while Merlin is viable in 90% of buster teams, regardless of enemy
And I think it's easier to find friend with maxed Jeanne (I don't know how does your friend list look like, but half of mine has level 100 10/10/10 Jeanne in All/Extra sector) and support her with your own servants rather than having Jeanne and looking for servant that is good for your strategy.
But if you love her more than Magus that makes this game just easier (because remember - F/GO is designed to be playable with servants of any rarity, it's all about the strategy) then go for her and don't regret this
Basically our problem is all about "Love vs. meta gaming"

So chances are, most of the friends in your friend list will have a Merlin by the end of that banner. So now the question is if many of your friend supports have j alter or not. If they do, you save for Merlin, if they don’t, you still save for Merlin cuz he makes anyone you want into a j alter. But at the end of the day, if you’re anything like me, just roll whatever you have for the banner with your best girl (or guy). Of course having a double Merlin and J alter or double J alter is the dream.
