Farm the bats and pumpkins and candels do not waste ap on cakes at the end just exchange the extra for cakes and if you need even more then farm.
imo we get 132 pumpkins and need only 110 to clear shop thus having 22 pumpkins left each of which give 50 cakes so it means no need to farm cakes
