Try to get at least Merlin. Typical comps are dps, support, support so having one of your own supports is advised and Merlin is the best by far

Can i just rely on friend support with my existing servant roster?
Was thinking if I should be bother with rolling for support characters like Waver, Tanamo and even Merlin given that most of my friend-list already have these support characters. Right now, my servant roster already hv most of the DPS and AOE attackers for each class (SSRs and SRs); but I just dun seems to have luck with support cast in my gacha roll..

It's not necessary, but it's fun pulling double Memerlin.
If you are short on SQ, it's fine to skip them.

If you want broken tier servant like Merlin, get him he's the best support so far besides Hans, Waver and Tamamo. Always make the game ez if you can use him effectively.
