Yes, having many friends reduces the chance you get one paticular friend's support servants show up. You just have to refresh the list multiple times, untill you get the one particular friend's support.

Not seeing friends support.
So I’ve been using one of my friends wavers which he has in the “any” slot to clear a lot of the harder Camelot stages but recently since I accepted two other friend request all of his supports has disappeared from the listing. I checked friends and it says he is still my friend but his supports just won’t show up. Refreshing the friend list doesn’t seem to work either. Is it because I have too many friends to list all the supports? Any help is much appreciated!

To add to this who appears is based on when they last logged in so more active people will appear on as support options more frequently.

constantly pressing refresh can do the trick as well, it's quite annoying though.

One more thing: if you remember that certain friend's name, look for them in other categories, and when you find them, click the [Confirm Support Setup] button, which lets you check their entire support setup to check if they didn't just switch their lineup.
