As of right now in NA, they're about on par with each other. Eventually (like 2 years from now) Medusa will get an NP buff that will give her a bit of an edge. Otherwise they're not to far from each other and you can go with whichever one you prefer.
Their NPs are about the same. Biggest difference is that Alexander has more team support while Medusa has better NP gain with her third skill.
Well at the very least for the short term Medusa will be more of an asset for the Illya event, so there's that.

They're about the same but I'd go with Medusa by the way. Quick np with a good amount of quick cards means she will be able to produce and use her own stars quite a bit when operating independently or without other archers or riders to take those stars
Actually, the same goes for Alexander. Plus, he has higher star absorption and his NP does more damage.
atm I'd say invest in Medusa due to next event favours female servants so it'd be useful to have them levelled
It seems to me many people give Medusa the waifu bonus. To me they are not really on par. The NP charge skill she obtained recently with her strengthening is the only thing she has going for her.
Alexander's NP has a neutral damage of 28103, which means you can bring him even to non-caster nodes for farming. Medusa on the other hand brings only 21840 to the table.
