Should I save apples for Nero or Salter event?

Both have lottery system and from what I searched, I can roll for secret gems in Salter events along with the mats that I need. But everyone has been saying that we should save for the lottery in Nero event. I wonder why?

Nero event boxes get you ascension mats like hearts of a demon God that have abysmally low drop rates in addition to exp tokens and other things

Honestly both and here is why. The nerofest boxes do have hearts and chains but the others like medals and lanterns don't quite have as much use. On the other hand Christmas has dust, bones, proofs, and fangs all very common ascension item that are needed in massive bulk.

Part of it is that eating apples for Nero means more chances at being able to MLB Joint Recital for 20% buster up + 20% crit damage up. The event shop only has 4 copies so you have to get the last one from a random quest drop. I don't see hearts in the lottery on the wiki though.

The salter event rerun has a limit on the lottery (8 boxes max), but the christmas event following that has no limit. I believe it's harder to grind stockings in this event compared to the salter event though.

I'm personally going to get the crystallized lores from each lottery and only go all in on the christmas ones. Gems >>> pieces/monuments
