Only females get bonuses. If you're aiming only for NP1 then no, pretty sure you won't need apples if you use your AP efficiently.

Questions on Prisma Illya event
I heard only female servants can be used in this event, is that correct?
Or is just the females who get the CE Event bonuses?
Also, is even possible to complete this event without Apples (I plan to likely use them for Summer) or the 5* event CE (which I never get; also, I am saving at least 30 quarts for Nero rate up, so will roll just once)?
Not even aiming at NP5 Chloe, NP1 is just fine.

I heard Chloe would be good at Np 5, and I'm not confident on getting her to that level. I probably could get her to Np 3...maybe.
