Tier A

Hephaistion is the first Pretender Class Servant available in the general pool, as a single target Arts damage dealer. Her greatest asset is her 120% self NP Gauge charger, which gives her amazing flexibility as a slot in damage dealer against a large boss enemy. She also has excellent Class coverage due to Pretender Classing, giving her damage bonus against Alter Ego, Berserker, Saber, Lancer, and Archer enemies. Additionally, her first skill gives her advantage against Casters, giving her amazing general coverage. She comes with buffs to her Arts, Buster, and NP damage for herself, and also provides herself with NP Gain buffs and a taunt with a respectable DEF buff for herself. Her main weakness is her lack of long term staying power, relying on allies for any hard defensive measures as she lacks any of her own. However, she makes for an effective and widely applicable boss slayer with highly flexible craft essence options due to her full NP charge.

Tier EX- -> EX-

Reines is already an excellent support, providing powerful ATK buffs to allies and a sizable amount of NP charge. Her latest upgrade improves her NP, giving all allies a +1 Overcharge level and 30-50% NP Gain depending on the level of her NP. These make for excellent buffs in many teams, and especially for allies with powerful overcharge effects. However, being already at a rather prestigious EX-, it was agreed this upgrade wasn't quite enough to push her up a tier.

Tier B+ -> A

Gray's upgrade to her NP gives it a welcome +100% damage across the board, provides a useful utility effect of giving her NP Ignore Invincibility, and refunds 10% of her NP Gauge upon use. The latter effect is particularly notable since it allows Gray to loop with double Koyanskaya and Oberon with the help of a 60% starting NP CE, which wasn't possible before. As a result, it was generally agreed that she be given a tier bump.
