The tutorial chapter, Fuyuki follows the aftermath of the fall of Chaldea and eases you into the game world and concepts. Mash and Cu Chulainn (Caster) are your main companions in this chapter.
As tutorial, the fights are not overly difficult. Take advantage of the ease by looking out for strong Support Servants to add to your friend list. Jeanne d'Arc (tank and healer), Zhuge Liang (support), Lancelot (aoe), Heracles and Vlad III (nukes) are some of the Servants worth adding.
Don't forget to equip Beginning of the Journey CE to a sub-member of your lineup for the bonus Friend Points. It adds up quickly!

If you're having trouble with Saber Alter, take advantage of class affinity by adding an archer to your lineup. If you didn't snag a 4*/5* archer, Arash or Robin Hood are perfectly acceptable substitutes with some levels. If all else fails, use a Jeanne d'Arc support to protect your team from the Excalibur Morgan NP.

As Cu Chulainn said, avoid this optional battle like a plague for now.
