Boss Analysis
- The player’s line-up will be randomly shuffled at the start of the fight.
- The Quake effect thus results in a degree of randomness when trying to form a cohesive team at the start. Be prepared to improvise.
- The party’s HP will be reduced by 1,200 at the start of each turn. This effect is lethal when the Servant’s HP is under 1,200 HP.
- The Chaos Tide effect is a silent killer even to more defensive line-ups.
- The first turn starts with Ushiwakamaru summoning one clone, thus there will be two Ushiwakamarus initially.
- Killing the original Ushiwakamaru (right-most) stops any more clones from being created.
- Ushiwakamarus have no class advantage / disadvantage, making them far more durable than their HP pools imply.
- Ushiwakamaru’s NP can be survived by most higher-rarity Servants, provided they are on near-full health.
Team Composition Recommendations
- There are two major ways to beat this stage. One is to burst down the original Ushiwakamaru very early in the fight, thus preventing any further clones from being created. The second is to allow Ushiwakamaru to summon a third copy, then slowly whittling their HP pools by either utilizing AoE NPs or whittling them down one at a time. The first way is generally more effective, but needs a considerably stronger line-up.
- Stunning the original Ushiwakamaru (such as with Chaldea Combat Uniform’s Gandr) prevents her from summoning a clone for one turn. Skill seals can also be used to this effect.
- Ushiwakamaru has a single-target NP, meaning that both Party Invulnerability and Taunt skills can be used too.
- To avoid the initial line-up shuffle from interfering with strategies, keeping the amount of party members to a minimum can be beneficial, though this should only be done if the player is very confident of their line-up. Otherwise, the Chaldea Combat Uniform’s Order Change can be used to manage the order of Servants.
- As Ushiwakamaru does not have class advantage, high-ATK Berserkers can be fielded rather safely, as they receive neutral damage from her.
- Ushiwakamaru’s NP is single target, so Taunt Servants can be used to absorb her NPs. Alternatively, skills and NPs such as David/Tristan’s party-wide Evasion, or Jeanne’s party-wide Invulnerability can be used.
- If Ushiwakamaru isn't stunned/skill sealed on turn 1, all 3 Ushiwakamaru spawns will have their charge bars synced up. Thus, a well-timed Taunt in combination with Evasion/Invulnerability can absorb all 3 NPs in a single turn.
- Since Class Advantage cannot be used, Servants with a trait advantage such as Gilgamesh perform very well.
